DISPATCHER JOB DESCRIPTION

Being a dispatcher for M. Raess & Son Trucking, LLC will encompass several different skill sets. Some of these skills include but are not limited to; answering phones, communication with drivers, communication with our customers as well as with your supervisors, taking orders over the phone, and dispatching trucks in and around the Chicagoland Area using dispatch software. The ideal candidate will be good at dealing with problems when they arise, finding solutions to those problems, dealing with price changes, working with computers, they will have good map aptitude skills, and like to work in a fast-paced environment. They also must be flexible and be able to work well with other dispatchers.
CURRENT SHIFT OPENINGS ARE:
AFTERNOONS 2:00 PM TO 10:30 PM
5 days a week, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, with Wednesday & Thursdays off.
Training: Training will take approximately 3 months. During training you will work Monday- Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM as you will be trained by a veteran dispatcher.
Salary starting at $40,000.00 per year with annual reviews.
90 day waiting period the on the 91stday insurance is valid. We currently have BC/BS for Health and Dental and we also have a vision discount plan along with a prescription plan. We offer both PPO & HMO plans with different deductible choices depending on your personal needs.
- Raess & Son Trucking, LLC has a Café 125 Plan in place.
1 week after 1 year, 2 weeks after 3 years, 3 weeks after 8 years.
If a Holiday falls on your normal scheduled work day you must plan to work that day.
After 1 year of employment you are eligible to enroll into the company’s 401K plan.
There are 2 enrollment dates after you complete 1 year of employment. Jan 1 & July 1.
